Derby Concert Orchestra - new site now online. The DCO presents diverse orchestral programmes performed to a high standard. Jonathan is proud to have worked with the orchestra as Principal Conductor since1987, extending its repertoire into new and exciting areas. The orchestra has worked with many fine soloists over the years, from Leon Goossens to Nigel Kennedy, and its performances consistently attract critical praise. London
Soloists Chamber Orchestra The
LSCO is "an exceptional ensemble of sparkling young musicians, representing
perhaps the most exciting performers in the United Kingdom. Most are competition
prize-winners and each member has achieved a top-level international reputation."
In 2003 Jonathan made his LSCO debut at St Johns, Smith Square
in London. The programme included the first UK performance of the Symphonie Concertante
for two pianos and string orchestra by the Romanian piano virtuoso and composer
Dinu Lipatti. The
London Schubert Players Since its formation in 1989 by pianist Anda
Anastasescu, t Benslow Music Trust, Hitchin The BMT has a long and successful history of running residential music courses for adult amateur musicians. Its varied annual programme of over 100 short courses ranges from early music to jazz and music technology, including voice and most instruments. Jonathan will be conducting on BMT programmes in Summer 2008. Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra Jonathan's engagements for the RLPO's 'Ensemble Ten Ten' have included a first performance of 'Flea Circus' by Gary Carpenter and Menotti's opera Amahl and the Night Visitors. |
